Vestas’ Global Procurement team has earned significant recognition for its effective procurement practices in the renewable energy industry. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including co-leading cross-functional Module Teams, negotiations, value creation initiatives, Module Strategy development and implementation and Supplier Account Management. The Direct Materials Procurement department is a global matrix organization and responsible for all direct materials for our global product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Global Commodity Strategy and negotiation to ensure the most optimal procurement setup for Gearboxes and Auxiliaries in Vestas
- Manage the Procurement related activities in the Cross Functional Team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g. commercial & technical costing, new product introduction, supplier risk and performance management
- Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting
- Supplier relationship management, including Supplier Account Plans and Strategies
- Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with your team members and act as a procurement lead on cross functional projects and cost out initiatives
- Procurement deliverables in new product introduction and contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree within a relevant area and/or min. 6 years of working experience within similar role
- Efficient communication skills and good experience with stakeholder management
- Experienced in leading negotiations and establishing Procurement Commodity Strategies
- Proven history of working in complex Commodities and/or high value Spend Categories
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and SAP/SAP ARIBA is also welcomed
- As our corporate language is English, fluent English is required, both verbally and in writing
