Are you interested in advanced technology and contributing to the future of renewable energy? Vestas Plant Design & Risk Modelling team is looking for a Lead Software Developer to modernise and optimise core simulation tools for site-specific load evaluation.

Plant Design & risk Modelling are anchored in Vestas R&D, where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. In short, Vestas Power R&D is the cornerstone of Vestas—we are developing solutions for modern energy.
The Plant Design & Risk Modelling department is developing Vestas' site assessment platform, ensuring risk offerings and warranty frameworks in close collaboration with stakeholders across Vestas' value chain. The department comprises highly skilled, international, highly experienced, cross-discipline employees in Portugal, Denmark, and India.

Responsibilities
- Extend and modernize one of our core simulation tools used for site-specific load evaluation
- Together with domain experts, decompose and optimise scientific computation systems and integrate them in a highly scalable cloud environment
- Write well-designed and testable code and promote a culture of technical excellence
- Communicate and collaborate with the end users, stakeholders, and the IT organisation
- Engage in agile teamwork to continuously improve and optimise team collaboration and the way of working
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- Advanced programming skills in .NET/C# or similar object-orientated languages
- Software engineering and software architecture; proficiency with, e.g. API design, software design, testability, delivery pipelines, etc
- Experience in implementing a service-orientated or microservice architecture
- Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with the following technologies would be beneficial: MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Web Technology (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular), ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and Azure DevOps Pipelines

The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark or Porto, Portugal.
