The Project Support is one of 4 teams in the Special Projects Department, where we support the other teams. We are the only team that is interfacing internally. Here we support the teams that support the clients in an operational fashion (Upgrade and Aftersales, Main Component Exchange, and Blade Service - all offshore).
The Project Support department is responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience when completing projects for our customers, supporting service sites in conducting special campaigns and internal project support within the department. 
The department is part of the Offshore Service organization in the Vestas NCE Region. Here you become part of a committed team of >500 colleagues who daily work on delivering Offshore Services to our trusted customers. This includes everything from strategy work, operational & process improvement, Health & Safety, technical case handling to delivering the services on the wind turbines offshore.


Responsibilities
As a Lead Project Manager within Project Support you will be responsible for delivering some of our most-complex and largest projects. You will need to deliver on time, within the budget and meet high quality standards, all with the highest safety performance. This entails an overall responsibility for the project and authority of the process.

Additionally, you can expect:

  • To drive, coordinate and facilitate large complex offshore projects 
  • To act as the primary point of contact for the Client when escalations are required 
  • To build and maintain a project team, instilling project values and maintaining focus on the project goals 
  • To act as the primary escalation path for negotiations both internally and externally 
  • To maintain the project on schedule, cost, quality and safety  
  • To act as an ambassador
  • To motivate the team to engage in continuous improvement throughout the company


Qualifications
We anticipate that applicants will bring at least ten years of experience from a comparable role, with experience in the Energy Industry considered a valuable asset. Moreover, we hope that you can recognize yourself in the following:
Qualified in project management (PMBOK or Prince2)
Engineering, commercial, or Project Management degree
Ten years, or equivalent, experience in complex projects 
Overseen the development of construction projects in offshore locations
Experienced negotiator for internal and external partners
Demonstratable evidence of contract and commercial proficiency 
Solid Experience with Risk Management, Stakeholder management, and Reporting Governance

  • Has a keen safety mind-set and able to drive underlying behaviours and cultures that improve safety performance on projects
