In a highly dynamic and globalized market, the Plant Product Market Strategy Team sets the direction for future commercial product offerings and makes sure that Vestas always has the right products. We collaborate globally across Vestas and have a strong reach in our sales regions and customers. 

Our key focus is to secure that we have the right offerings to ensure competitiveness and compliance as well as driving the commercialization for value creation and capture, while taking developments in the evolving energy landscape into account.
In everything we do, we have a commercial and customer-oriented approach. We are measured by the impact our products have on Vestas' profitability and our ability to continuously improve marketability. 

We are responsible for aligning the Product Strategy globally across our Sales Business Units to support local market growth, considering the dynamics of the global market for renewable solutions.

Responsibilities  

You will be part of the Plant Product Market Strategy Team with the core focus on how we better understand what customers need of energy solutions and how we turn that need into competitive solutions for Vestas. This include a specific focus on developing the right value capture models and aligning with our commercial Service colleagues how we jointly best move Vestas forward. You will be a core partner to the rest of the team in incorporating your insights from customers and sales colleagues to our market roadmap which in turn guides the R&D organization and the direction for Vestas investments in new developments. The energy transition and how renewables are penetrating the energy market is one of the core elements for us in understanding and formulating the outlook for Vestas. You will be working with topics like

  • Customer insights
  • Value based pricing
  • Value capture models
  • Facilitate the understanding of market developments and market value drivers, considering changes in mainly customers and financing landscapes across short, mid and long-term horizons globally. This to both: 
    • Define the product market strategy outlook within the energy solutions area.
    • Build and implement commercialization strategies and early market adoption for new product offerings 
  • Take part in defining and prioritizing our energy solutions market roadmap. 

 

Qualifications

If you have commercial experience and interest, you are halfway there. You ideally have: 

  • Understanding of a similar industry's product portfolio, business model, business drivers, and value chain  
  • Knowledge of how to address different types of customers with different needs.  
  • Experience working for an international company and are used to working across both diverse cultures and time zones.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or economics, or potentially an engineering education with demonstrated commercial exposure.
  • Experience on various ways of capturing value in a b2b environment.
  • Experience from working with pricing structures can be a big advantage.
  • Experience from competitive intelligence and analysis would be an advantage but not a requirement.
  • You thrive in setting direction in a complex environment with specific business impacts.
