Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO), you'll find our department, Performance Testing, as part of Engineering Operations.

Our department is comprised of 23 experienced engineers and specialists based at our headquarters in Aarhus. Our team supports the entire Vestas organization by using our skills in Loads, Power Performance, Grid Compliance, Noise & Vibration, Power Electronics testing, and data acquisition systems.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll have an integral part in enhancing our teams' capabilities with Power Quality and FRT testing of our products and technologies.

  • Effectively carry out, evaluate, and document power quality and Fault Ride Through (FRT) tests in the field and test facilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from test specification, planning, and implementation to reporting
  • Delivery of internal and 3rd party test reports
  • Secure sufficient data quality
  • Contribute to the strategic development activities

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good technical foundation coupled with good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of measuring electrical quantities and measurement system design
  • Knowledge of measurement standards for grid compliance, e.g. IEC 61400-21, FGW TR3
  • Testing electrical power systems experience
  • Proficiency in signal processing and data analysis
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Additional information

The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark.

Up to 30 travel days per year.
