Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Performance Testing, as part of Product Verification & Lifecycle Mgmt.
Our department is comprised of 22 experienced engineers and specialists based at our headquarters in Aarhus. Our team plays a vital role in supporting the entire Vestas organization by leveraging our specialized expertise and extensive competencies in the domains of Loads, Power Performance, Grid Compliance, Noise & Vibration, Power Electronics testing, and data acquisition systems.
 

Responsibilities
In this role, you'll have an integral part in enhancing our simulation validation practices for the advancement of our latest products.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop novel methodologies for validating computational models
  • Cultivate expertise in model validation techniques
  • Ensure effective utilization of the Vestas model validation framework across ongoing projects
  • Assist in establishing operational capabilities for the Vestas model validation framework
  • Engage with national and international certification and standardization bodies
  • Contribute to the strategic evolution of model validation within VPS
     

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good technical foundation coupled with good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, probabilistic design, hypothesis testing, and regression techniques, including familiarity with machine learning algorithms
  • Experience in modeling dynamic systems, signal processing, etc
  • Familiarity with verification and validation methodologies
  • Proficient coding skills, particularly in Python, MATLAB, etc
  • Previous experience in the wind industry is advantageous
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Additional information
Our preferred work location for this role is our office in Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 10 travel days per year.
