Digital Solutions leads the companywide effort to digitally transform Vestas end to end. Reporting directly to Executive Management, the function is responsible for improving IT efficiency, integrating digital products into our customer offering, enhancing employees' digital experience, advancing enterprise cyber security, and supporting core processes across the value chain. Within this, the Digital Commercial department supports the core business area in Vestas’s value stream around Opportunity Development and Sales, where our digital capabilities improve Vestas's competitiveness. Our team leads continuous improvement of digital products supporting the sales organization and engages broadly across Vestas’ digital landscape, bringing deep commercial capabilities, solid knowledge of Vestas’ products and services, and a clear drive for digital transformation.

 

Responsibilities 

As our Business Systems Specialist, you will work on a wide range of critical tasks, and your main responsibilities will be to

  • Design, develop, and improve workflow, modelling, and product‑related systems by bringing together global needs, maintaining advanced technical and commercial calculation models, and improving API and rule‑engine architecture
  • Build and automate software solutions, including custom apps, cloud workflows, automated reporting, and logic for product configuration, configurable pricing, and product definitions using tools like Python, R, SQL, Git, and various API integrations
  • Look across global teams and processes to spot inefficiencies, build scalable workflows, and support mathematical, commercial, financial, and configuration‑related problem‑solving through system development
  • Test, troubleshoot, and improve reliability of software and data‑processing systems, making sure they can handle configuration rules, pricing logic, error states, incomplete data, and server or data‑collection issues
  • Support the business with implementation, training, and guidance, sharing best practices, introducing improvements, and helping teams adopt software solutions, financial modelling tools, and configuration/pricing rule setups smoothly across the organization
  • Keep documentation and version control up to date, making sure development work, models, configuration logic, workflows, and system updates are clearly recorded
  • Work closely with stakeholders across different functions to share knowledge, communicate release updates, and solve cross‑disciplinary challenges   

 

Qualifications  

We believe that you bring the following

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or similar
  • Demonstrated business and financial understanding with experience in commercial or finance‑related roles
  • Solid programming experience in a business setting, with skills in SQL, Excel, and languages such as .NET/VB/C#, Python, or R
  • Experience with software implementation and complex project execution
  • Experienced in working with large datasets
  • Clear communication skills in English and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Additional information

Your work location will be at our office in Aarhus, Denmark. The role requires ability to work on-site on a weekly basis. A small number of travelling days per year is to be expected. We encourage you to apply no later than 09/04/2026.
