Global Service Supply Chain is part of Vestas' growing "must win" focus areas within our Service Business Unit.
As our new Inventory Planner, you would take part in a team that is dealing with daily tasks of running our supply chain business and improving our inventory levels. We are a team of 5 persons located in Denmark and Spain and we are the ones responsible for settling the bar when it comes to inventory levels.
As our new Inventory Planner colleague, you will become part of a passionate team committed to develop, implement & improve the future Global Inventory Planning Process.
Responsibilities
In this role the primary areas of responsibility will be:
- Execute tasks in support of Supply Chain and Repair performance related to Inventory Management i.e. Inventory Turn Overs, Obsolescence
- Evaluate stocking strategies; Rounding Values, Minimum Order Quantities in SAP to identify opportunities for improvement
- Analyze stock categorization and provisions, setting a monetary ceiling of stocks
- Analyze forecasted and actual impacts to regional working capital (inventory) at the global level
- Define and monitor surplus materials to drive lean inventory
- Review non-moving materials for potential scrap or reuse
- Manage global inventory rebalancing
Qualifications
For this position the right candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, LEAN, Business Administration or similar
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain preferable in a global organization e.g. within the SIOP/S&OP area
- Expertise in SAP ERP 5.7 or above is preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience
- MS Office
- Proficient in standard data analytical tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL (Marco's level preferred)
- Experience from the wind power business or similar service business is not a prerequisite, but an advantage
- Solid team-oriented skills across cultures and disciplines and proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
