We are looking for a passionate Audio and Video Conferencing Architect who is responsible for designing, implementing, and providing high-quality AV conferencing solutions throughout the hundreds of locations around the world where Vestas personnel work. They ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure, ensure that troubleshooting technical issues can be done proactively and efficiently and mentor AV Engineers. This role involves frequent travel for on-site assessments, as well as managing vendor, and internal stakeholder-relationships to ensure effective service delivery. Key competencies include technical expertise in AV technologies, good problem-solving skills, good communication, and project management abilities.

 

Responsibilities

  • System Design and Architecture: Develop and design comprehensive Microsoft Teams Meeting Room (MTR) audio and video conferencing solutions tailored to organizational needs and circumstances
  • Implementation and Integration: Implement and integrate MTR AV systems with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and optimize MTR AV systems to ensure high-quality performance
  • High-level Troubleshooting: Support SME's/AV Engineers with diagnosis and resolution of technical issues related to audio and video conferencing systems
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all AV solutions comply with security policies and regulatory requirements
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, including overseeing service delivery, and ensuring vendor compliance with organizational standards
  • Frequent Travel: Travel to various locations to oversee the implementation and maintenance of AV systems, conduct site assessments, and provide on-site support and training

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related field
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D), and Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate12
  • Experience: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining AV systems
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AV software and hardware, networking, and IT systems
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with AV architectural requirements, cabling, control systems, and video conferencing platforms
  • Vendor Management Experience: Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and ensuring service delivery
  • Agile ways of working: Has a good experience in working with agile methodologies

  • Technical Expertise: Proven In-depth knowledge of AV technologies, including video conferencing systems, audio systems, and related software
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and documentation
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery
  • Collaboration: Good teamwork skills to work effectively with various departments and external partners
  • Business Process Optimization: Knowledge of, and experience with, analyzing how work is being done across a chain of activities/tasks, and designing, aligning and implementing improvements
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with the latest AV technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.Vendor Management: Skills in managing vendor relationships and performance monitoring
