Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > Construction Documentation Readiness
In the Construction Documentation Readiness department, we create technical documentation as well as M-BoMs for the construction phases of the turbines. We also handle translations requests for Vestas as a whole and deliver documentation for ESCROW deposits on top. Apart from all these deliverables, we are also responsible for ensuring that we have efficient documentation systems and processes in place for all technical documentation to be created, maintained, and delivered to both our internal stakeholders as well as to all the customers and end-users in all the Transport, Construction and Service parts of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, drive and improve technical documentation system solutions related to configurable and modular single-source content management and distribution
  • Subject Matter Expert on Windchill SIM and DITA single-source information models, information types, applicability and classification values, content reuse strategy, stylesheets and digital thread and content digitalization
  • Ensure establishment of a two-way digital thread between design documentation, technical documentation source content and dynamic delivery of content to end users, as well as exploration of new work instruction delivery formats such as Virtual and Augmented Reality
  • Support the business case creation for potential business improvement projects and ensure the requirements use cases are created
  • Deliver the requirements collection forward from the technical documentation teams to IT for solution design development and implement new as well as improved system design solutions and functionalities, develop and implement processes for new and improved systems solutions in the technical documentation teams
  • Create and implement training concepts to users in technical documentation teams as well as in other impacted business functions and ensure users are trained in all relevant CCMS single source system roles
  • Govern the technical documentation information architecture and co-develop standards with the users, to increase the content reusability and ensure good stakeholder management and relevant system users' involvement


Qualifications

  • Master's degree within Engineering, Quality Management, Information Management, Communication, or similar
  • Experience with and knowledge of Windchill SIM and Arbortext
  • Great experience with DITA implementation, multi-purpose publishing, and reuse content strategies
  • Experience with illustrative and interactive delivery formats such as Virtual and Augmented Reality
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Wind turbine product knowledge (preferred)
