The Digital HSE Management product team works closely with Global and Regional HSE leadership to design and implement digital solutions that enable a risk-based, proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental management, moving from reactive incident handling to prevention and continuous improvement. The team consists of 13 architects who oversee different products that interface with the business.
We enable colleagues across the business to perform their work effectively without needing in-depth knowledge of HSE processes, by ensuring that our systems inherently support compliance with all relevant requirements. The team is part of the Digital Solutions organization within the "Supply Chain, Transport, Procurement, Quality, HSE & Sustainability" Product Area, which delivers digital capabilities that support safe, compliant, and efficient operations across Vestas. As a team, we play a key role in shaping and supporting critical areas related to Health and Safety, where our work has a direct and meaningful impact on the organization.
Responsibilities
As an IT HSE Architect you will be responsible for three overall areas:
Architecture and Solutions Design
- Define and maintain the HSE target architecture across applications, data, and integrations, translating HSE business capabilities into scalable IT solutions and establishing architecture standards, patterns, and principles
- Design and govern HSE data and integrations, including definition of data models, data flows, and interfaces (e.g., SAP CPI, identity management, external systems)
- Enable data-driven insights by supporting analytics for incident trends, root cause analysis, and compliance monitoring
- Maintain the HSE technology roadmap, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and ITSM processes, and support decision-making through architecture reviews
Business Alignment
- Partner with the Product Owner and HSE leaders to convert strategy into digital capabilities
- Ensure IT solutions support operational safety, compliance, and reporting processes
- Help drive alignment between global, regional, and site-level HSE needs
Delivery Support
- Guide the product team during implementation
- Validate solution designs and ensure alignment with target architecture
- Support incident/problem management from an architecture perspective
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in IT architecture or solution design
- Experience with HSE digital platforms such as Sphera or similar HSE management tools (Use in Screening Question).
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as:
- SAP (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors)
- Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Experience supporting regulated or safety-critical environments
Competencies

- Communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Understanding of trade-offs, scalability, and maintainability
