Service & Indirect Procurement (SIP) is a global procurement organization responsible for sourcing and managing services, indirect spend, construction, logistics, and other business-critical categories that enable Vestas' operations and growth. The department advances cost efficiency, supplier performance, risk management, and compliance while delivering scalable, effective sourcing solutions across the business. SIP works closely with stakeholders across all functions to deliver value through strategic category management, supplier innovation, and operational excellence. The organization is currently undergoing a significant transformation, leveraging digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled processes to further expand its influence and support Vestas' long-term growth goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Procurement partner to senior Service leadership and serve as the key point of contact for procurement-related topics, opportunities, and challenges
  • Define and execute procurement strategies that support both the short-term priorities and long-term growth ambitions of Vestas' Service business
  • Drive supplier relationship management and continuously improve the global Service supplier base through strategic partnerships and supplier development initiatives
  • Identify and capture cost, quality, innovation, and risk mitigation opportunities across the supply chain
  • Approve and govern global category strategies, including supplier segmentation, category roadmaps, negotiation frameworks, and value capture initiative
  • Manage, develop, and inspire a global Service Procurement organization of 70+ employees across multiple regions, building collaboration, capability development, and consistent performance

 

Qualifications

  • Preferred educational background: Business, Engineering, MBA, or a combination of technical and commercial education. Bachelor's degree minimum, Master's preferred
  • More than 10 years of relevant professional experience in a global business environment
  • More than 8 years of leadership experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • History of effectively handling complex negotiations and producing measurable business results
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and category management
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal

As this is a Global role the expected travel will be up to 70 days annually
