The HSE department is focused Supporting and empowering vestas to build HSE Capacity at every level of the organization. It is our goal to ensure that every leader and employee has access to the necessary tools, systems and processes to ensure everyone goes home safely every day.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the Global HSE Leadership Team, contributing to the development and implementation of global HSE strategy
- Provide strategic input into the tactical plan ensuring it reflects the HSE Risk profile for Manufacturing and ensure all Manufacturing operations understand their legal obligations and have appropriate systems and processes to ensure they are compliant and the HSE MS is consistently carried out across all Manufacturing sites and work practices are aligned to Global minimum standards
- Review HSE data for the purposes of identifying both current and emerging risks and collaborate with Factories to implement improvements and support factories to fufill Safety and Environmental objectives and ensure there is a culture of HSE operational continuous improvement
- Execute Global Tactical initiatives ensuring they are embedded within the respective factories and ensure incident investigations and associated RCA are completed and lessons learnt are shared across all sites and execute and support appropriate assurance processes and audits per the Global HSE Assurance Framework
- Support with all HSE matters as part of the 'Vestas way to market' for all new factories and platforms and ensure adequate coordination between R&D and Manufacturing with respect to the establishment and transfer of risk assessments and safe systems of work,
- Execute all Environmental management system processes to ensure the consistent CSRD reporting as required by ESG and facilitate reporting of key HSE data metrics as required
- Support the Factories in driving all environmental and sustainability initiatives aligned to Vestas Corporate Sustainability objectives and co-ordinate the HSE Technical Transfer between Factories, ensuring that all Technology transfer occurs in a consistent and efficient manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- 10 years of experience in HSE roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Documented experience in new product introduction, technology transfer, and ensuring compliance with ISO certifications
Competencies
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a global organization
- Knowledge of global HSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinking and global mindset with strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
- Ability to influence and lead through indirect reporting lines
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach to HSE challenges
