The Global HSE department is a diverse team spread geographically across the organization supporting manufacturing sites globally. The department sustains with all HSE matters as part of the 'Vestas way to market' for all new factories and platforms. Further, the department supports the leadership teams in Manufacturing on their ongoing transformation journey and on maintaining compliance locally.

Responsibilities

In this key role, you will serve as an important member of the Global HSE Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of global HSE strategy.​ You will provide strategic input to assure that the tactical plan reflects the HSE Risk profile for Manufacturing, certifying that all Manufacturing operations understand their legal obligations and have appropriate systems and processes to ensure they are compliant and shared through lessons learned throughout the sites. Further, your focus will be

  • Warrant that the Global HSE Management System is consistently executed across all manufacturing sites and that work practices align with Global minimum standards
  • Facilitate reporting of key HSE data metrics and review data and performance drivers to identify current and emerging risks, ensure Capacity Action Plans and collaborating with Segments and Factories to implement improvements
  • Support Segments in meeting Vestas corporate safety, sustainability and environmental objectives, promoting a culture of HSE operational continuous improvement, and ensuring Global Tactical initiatives are embedded within the segments
  • Execute and safeguard assurance processes and audits as per Global HSE Assurance framework, incident investigations and RCA, and all Environmental Management System processes required for consistent CSRD reporting
  • Coordinate HSE Technical Transfer between factories to ensure consistent and efficient technology transfer
  • Establish mechanisms to ensure the NPI considers HSE concerns, implement NPI assurance and sign‑off protocols, and provide assurance to involved stakeholders that external factories comply with Vestas minimum HSE standards
  • Lead a manufacturing transformation initiative focused on significantly improving safety performance

Qualifications

  • To thrive in this role, we believe that you have the following experience:
  • University degree in Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment​
  • Proven experience in new product introduction, technology transfer, and ensuring compliance with ISO certifications
  • Knowledge of global HSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Experience from working in an international, complex company structure
  • Proficiency in English

Additional information


Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. You should expect travel activity, up to 120 days per year, internationally.
