Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, the global leader in the Wind Industry, including Strategy development and implementation, Value creation initiatives, negotiations, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Account Management. Our Procurement organization consist of app. 600 dedicated employees spread out across the globe, with app. 120 employees located in the headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.
You will lead the team of Business Service Procurement, who is responsible for the majority of Vestas's indirect spend globally, yearly spend around 900 mil. euro. You will report to the Senior Director for Global IT and Business Services Procurement and will be a member of the management team, playing a key role in setting the direction for the area and ensuring that Vestas has the best agreements and solutions towards our internal stakeholders.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the Global Business Service Procurement team, accelerating the development of cutting-edge capabilities on a global scale
• Spearhead the formulation and execution of a dynamic global Business Service Procurement strategy in close collaboration with internal stakeholders worldwide, with a focus on unlocking the full value potential of our global agreements
• Foster robust cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, revolutionizing our category structure across all relevant domains
• Play a crucial role as a key member of the Global IT and Business Service Procurement Management team, serving as the face of management and an ambassador to both internal and external stakeholders
• Cultivate and propel a team of seasoned professionals who excel as specialists in their respective fields
• Ensure Vestas maximizes value and savings from supplier collaborations while actively contributing to the development of world-class solutions alongside our esteemed internal and external partners
• Harness an environment characterized by passion, agility, exceptional results, infectious positivity, and a sense of camaraderie

Qualifications

• Bring several years of leadership experience to the table, ideally in guiding culturally diverse and global teams towards ambitious goals
• Possess a robust background in Procurement, including adeptly navigating cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and complex tasks
• Demonstrate a solid theoretical foundation in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain Management
• Embody a leadership style centered on the growth and development of both employees and the business
• Exhibit visionary leadership qualities, capable of setting compelling visions for the team and the business, crafting strategies to realize these visions, and possessing the passion and resilience to see them through to fruition
• Prior experience in developing an Indirect Procurement organization is advantageous
