We are looking for a procurement professional to handle key blade‑related suppliers and manage strategic sourcing in a global environment. Vestas Technology & Operations > Procurement > Blades Material System 

The Blades Procurement Department is part of the broader Vestas Global Procurement organization, responsible for managing and developing the global supplier base supporting the Blades product area.

The department is organized into three teams, each with distinct material and system responsibilities. The Blades Structural Materials teams one of the two primary material-focused areas and covers   VPM, Coating/LEP, Protection systems and Root solution (RSC).

Our team consists of 25+ procurement professionals working in a global matrix setup, with colleagues located in India, China, Portugal, Denmark, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. Procurement activities across Vestas are executed through cross-functional collaboration, following the principles of Module Management and Category Management to ensure alignment, efficiency, and strategic impact.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handle supplier selection and qualification processes for blade-related categories, including negotiation and contracting activities
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring effective performance tracking, risk mitigation, and long-term account development
  • Contribute to procurement strategies and technology roadmaps, supporting the advancement of blade components and materials
  • Serve as the procurement representative in cross-functional projects, including cost‑out initiatives and process improvements
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by securing timely and high‑quality procurement deliverables across the value chain
  • Initiate and manage RFIs/RFQs with both new and existing suppliers to optimize the supply chain based on total landed cost and strategic requirement

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field combined with few years of relevant professional experience
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with SAP and SAP Ariba are beneficial
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
