Service – Global Service operations – Global Offshore Operations
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching Offshore Service Site Supervisors at new Offshore Service sites across all Regions during the Service Readiness and site ramp-up phases. The aim is to ensure that there is sufficient knowledge sharing across Global Offshore Service operations and that best practices and new learnings are implemented across the whole value chain, minimising lost production from day one.
As a mentor and coach, you will provide guidance and support with day-to-day operations of the windfarm to help train the local site team operate windfarm to maximum efficiency.
During your first year you will undergo Vestas technical training at our training facilities in Denmark, along with field training alongside your colleagues at one of our first V236 operational sites before you will be placed at one our new Offshore Service sites across the globe.
You will be required to work either onshore or offshore on a rotational shift pattern working from sites utilizing either an SOV or CTV, supporting our first V236 sites up to 12 months prior to service commencement. You'll be working alongside the site team using your knowledge and experience to train them in the operation the windfarm optimally with the overall goal of reducing LPF.
Responsibilities
As a Global Offshore Support Supervisor, you support the Regional Service Readiness teams in the 12 months prior to Service Commencement with technical input for site documents and processes as well as tooling, spares and training readiness. You will act as a mentor and ambassador for operational excellence within the region and promote the OneVestas philosophy.
Your typical tasks would be as follows:
- Support the site team in using Vestas processes and best practices to ensure that we operate in a standard way, enabling the scale up of Offshore Service, globally. You will act as a global anchor in the feedback of lessons learned to the whole value chain
- Support the site team in managing and prioritizing technician workload and providing support to technicians offshore. Support in the creation service work orders
- Support in the use of SAP to prepare, plan and execute the operations
- Support in the organizing of vessel (CTV or SOV) transfers in line with weather forecasts
- Support the site team in planning annual service campaigns, statutory inspections and CIM case/Upgrade implementation (Resources, Materials and Tools)
- Providing general support to the Service Manager and training new starting Supervisors and Deputy Supervisors from early recruitment
- Taking morning brief and toolbox talks. Using knowledge and experience to set the teams to work in the most efficient way
- Support in the transfer of Wind Turbine Safety Rules knowledge
- Support with knowledge of contracts and contractual deliverables
Qualifications
- Technical education / degree qualified or relevant industry experience
- Previous experience in operating offshore wind farms is essential.
- Knowledge of V164/V174 or EnVentus platform
- Solid experience from working in a similar position in an international service organization within the wind or offshore industry is preferable
- Proven experience with leadership and people management
- Good business skills and a customer-focused, solution- and improvement-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
