Control Systems Engineering is anchored in Vestas Power Solutions. Vestas Power Solutions is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. To put in short, Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas - we are shaping the future of modern energy. 
The Control Systems Engineering department is accountable for architecture and integration of the turbine control systems, including functional safety. In close collaboration with our hardware and software teams, we elicit and distribute requirements and perform system-level failure mode analysis as well as performance level calculations. We verify system functionality in virtual simulation environments as well as on test rigs and complete wind turbines.

 

Responsibilities
The control system requirements manager will be responsible for 

  • Developing and maintaining our control system requirements databases, which are currently based on Visure Requirements ALM
  • Securing consistency across all levels of requirements and facilitate exchange of requirements with stakeholders within the control system domain as well as with stakeholders in adjacent departments
  • Securing consistency between other systems engineering artifacts such as failure mode analysis and verification results, and you will have the possibility to engage in producing these artifacts as part of our general systems engineering work

 

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in control engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline
  • 3+ years of industry experience with electrical/electronic control system development, including hardware and software
  • Experience with working in requirement databases such as Visure, Doors, or Jama
  • Great IT skills with at least one scripting language in the toolbox (e.g., Python)
  • Experience with requirements management according to IEC 61508 or ISO 26262
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills

 

Competencies
You work very structured and have an eye for detail when it comes to semantics and syntax
You have solid collaboration skills and have no problems with working in an international setting with stakeholders at multiple levels and at multiple sites around the world
You have a skill in communicating clearly and concisely with stakeholders, in a way they understand, in fluent English

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Vestas’ headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect up to 20 days of travel per year.
