Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Product TCM, as part of Applications, Product Solutions & Integration.
As the Wind Turbine industry continues to witness the growth of larger turbines, both for Onshore and Offshore applications, the demand for safe, cost-effective, and groundbreaking transport solutions has become increasingly vital. Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, also holds a prominent position in the realm of Wind Turbine transportation.
With a presence in 88 different countries across the globe, Vestas is responsible for the transportation of numerous oversized components each month. This necessitates the development of innovative logistics solutions to overcome the unique challenges associated with this task. For offshore projects involving components weighing more than 500 tons or exceeding 100 meters in length, as well as onshore deliveries in challenging inland areas, our unwavering focus on transportation is essential. Our commitment to ensuring timely deliveries at the right cost to our valued customers remains paramount.

Responsibilities
This role entails serving as a subject matter expert in this field, having an important role with cross-functional impact within the organization, and significantly influencing Vestas' market position.

• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the Transport domain in collaboration with stakeholders
• Interpret cross-industry standards and regulations to formulate internal requirements for Vestas
• Specify product and module-level requirements in coordination with stakeholders
• Create guidelines to facilitate cost-effective, standards-compliant design solutions
• Mentor and coach designers, fostering cost-efficient and compliant solutions
• Identify and report product risks within the functional area through WTG FMEA
• Provide support for WTG verification, assist in mitigation for non-compliance, and offer guidance on design verification and documentation

Qualifications
We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related relevant studies
• Relevant experience in the wind industry or a heavy machinery-related field
• Demonstrated experience within the Transport industry
• Experience in offshore environments (Beneficial)
• Proficiency in the design process, including setting requirements, system design, creating test specifications, conducting tests, generating test reports, conducting root cause analyses, and certification procedures
• Proven capabilities in strategic planning and roadmap development
