In the Power Systems Integration area, you will have an important role in the organisation within Vestas. In Power System Integration we span across being in very close interaction with the market as well as being involved in various R&D activities with external collaborators while focusing on product development as our main goal. AEP & Environmental is a sub module of the Power System Integration module and is responsible for the design and development of solutions protecting the environment while ensuring optimal production of the power plant. The main focus areas are non-mechanical solutions related to Avian protection (birds and bats), Light pollution (Flickering shadows and Aviation lights), Ice throw/De-icing and Audible Noise emission. 

The department currently consists of a mix of Software specialists, architects and developers working from offices in Denmark (Aarhus), Portugal (Porto) and Poland (Gdansk), and this position is based at the Vestas Technology Center in Aarhus, Denmark.



  • You will be the Lead Software Developer within the sub-module product offerings, and join a global team of specialists, technical leads and developers. In this role your responsibilities will be:
  • Understand product requirements and break them down to system requirements, and support the break down into stories that can be coded and implemented
  • Code and implement solutions and automated testing yourself
  • Understand the architecture of our systems and participate in implementing best practices and architectural changes and improvements to product offerings and code base
  • Interface to both the field and project environment to provide world class software solutions to customer needs
  • Act as peer reviewer on code and documentation
  • Support the scrum master and product owner in maintaining a high quality feature backlog with estimations rooted in your experience and system knowledge



  • You hold an engineering degree (B.Sc or higher) - for instance within Software, Computer Science or similar and you have solid experience with .Net Framework/Core and full stack development. Besides that, experience with following is required:
  • Experience with NUnit, unit testing and knowledge of CI/CD
  • Experience with Micrsoservices
  • Experience with Web API
  • Design Patterns
  • MS SQL
  • Angular 8+
  • Typescript
  • GIT

Other tools/frameworks you will be exposed to, that are nice to know of, but not required:

  • Powershell, Unity Container, CSS, HTML, Dapper, Docker, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps



  • To achieve goals in this role you will be required to deep dive into coding and implementation of solutions as well as discussing at a more holistic approach on architectural level across product offerings:
  • Experience working in a SCRUM team or other iterative development methods
  • You should have 5-7 years of experience in system design and product development for industrial use
  • You are fluent in English, both written and verbally
  • Have an eye for the detail in coding and implementation
  • Can elevate yourself to see the broader picture and suggest and guide architectural changes and improvements
  • Set the scene for best software practice and improve a quality mindset within software development
