Vestas Technology & Operations > Production Engineering Nacelles > Manufacturing Test

About the Team

You will join Manufacturing Test, a team of highly skilled engineers who design, build and implement test solutions at our assembly factories. The purpose of our test solutions is to validate the assembly quality of products ranging from control cabinets to large power converters, generators, powertrains, hubs and fully assembled nacelles. Recently, we developed and installed test solutions for Vestas' 15 MW offshore turbine.

Our culture is open, informal, and highly collaborative. We pride ourselves on knowledge sharing, supporting one another, and consistently scoring high on teamwork in employee surveys. Joining us means becoming part of a team where your ideas matter and where you can help improve our test solutions.

This is your opportunity to take on a key role where innovation meets practical engineering, directly contributing to the assembly quality of some of the world's most powerful wind turbines.

For this position, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer or Marine Engineer with knowledge of electrical design and a solid practical understanding of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

From the earliest project phases through the final handover to the factories, you will be responsible for the electrical design and delivery of complete test solutions.

Your responsibilities will include development of test concepts, detailed electrical design, material purchase, equipment builds, on-site installation and commissioning, final handover to the factory and the documentation required for CE marking.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop test concepts for advanced test solutions and translate them into robust electrical designs
  • Create Technical Purchase Specifications and coordinate equipment builds with suppliers to ensure reliable, best-in-class solutions
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, R&D teams, and global factories
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure designs meet the highest safety standards
  • Install and commission systems on-site, ensuring everything operates flawlessly
  • Deliver high-quality documentation that complies with CE-marking requirements

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys turning complex ideas into real, functioning solutions.

You may be a recent graduate or bring years of experience. What matters most is your motivation to work on electrical systems and problem-solving.

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering
  • A solid practical background. Practical experience is essential
  • Good troubleshooting capabilities
  • Confidence in understanding and designing electrical systems
  • Knowledge of EU standards, low-voltage design and CE-marking requirements
  • A structured and quality-focused mindset

Competencies

You will be a strong candidate for this role if you are:

  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking, with good planning skills
  • Outgoing and enjoy interacting with stakeholders across a wide range of functions
  • Quality-conscious and systematic in your approach
  • A collaborative colleague with a good sense of humor
  • Motivated by working cross-functionally and across different cultures
  • A good communicator fluent in English both verbally and in written
  • Interested in developing your personal and professional competencies
