The People & Culture organisation is overall responsible for building Vestas´ capacity to attract, develop, and retain the industry’s highest quality workforce. Carrying out on Vestas’ growth strategy is in the hands of the people, and P&C has a central role to play in developing the talent, processes, and culture that will enable Vestas to succeed.

 

Global People Services, NCE (North/Central Europe) is covering employees in Vestas’ locations in North and Central Europe which sums approximately 15.000 employees in 22 countries. The scope is services related to HR operations such as payroll, HR masterdata, benefits, contracts incl. documentation, regional HR services desk, re-imbursements etc. We are making sure the core of people services runs smoothly and the business gets the right support at the right time.  

 

In Global People Services, NCE, we have a close partnership with the business, regional P&C management teams, P&C Global Delivery Center (Manila), IT and Finance in the enablement of process, technologies and adoption of solutions across the core HR services and payroll domain. Moreover, we will be an important contributor to the future overall digital HR transformation for P&C.

Responsibilities
As Director of Global People Services, NCE, your purpose is to guide your team that creates and delivers great experiences for all employees and leaders in the moments that matter. You will direct the teams responsible for day-to-day operations and services required to support delivery and facilitate a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. This includes:  

  • Leading, coaching and inspiring your team of 3 Managers, which overall covers +40 employees in Payroll and Service desk  
  • Handle operational P&C projects (e.g. HR systems and global payroll implementations) and ensure seamless implementations of global P&C projects within the region
  • Identify and coordinate continuous performance improvement projects to improve P&C services and payroll accuracy, compliance, productivity or employee satisfaction
  • Design and implement a quality control improvement process that ensures all HR transactions are timely, accurate, and compliant, incl. metrics to measure execution effectiveness
  • Ensure compliant and accurate reporting, and support global payroll tax and other audits, controls, special programs, mobility programs, GDPR and other jurisdictional requirements in every country
  • Develop an annual HR Operational Plan for key events, including detailed communications plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of the regional NCE payroll

 

Qualifications
The main qualification is that you are motivated and can succeed with inclusive and motivating leadership along with great success with process understanding and optimisation.

  • Master’s degree within a relevant business education along with leadership experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of HR Operations leadership with significant HR service experience ideally gained in a business of similar global reach and complexity
  • Experience in the delivery of services in shared services environment
  • Experience with working in an international matrixed environment
  • Proven success with communication and influencing stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and initiate change management efforts to promote adoption of new strategies and processes
  • Experience with multi-country payroll delivery is highly desirable

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Vestas’ headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect up to 30 days of travel per year.
