Are you excited about the wind industry? Do you possess extensive knowledge and great business development skills? We are looking for a new director who will direct our team and oversee the repair of turbine components, both Vestas and non-Vestas. 

 

Service > Global Service Supply Chain > Repair Development
Global Repair oversees product repair of turbine components, including spare parts, for the global service of Vestas's and non-Vestas wind turbines in close cooperation with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs). Repairing spare parts brings significant benefits to the environment and business in terms of CO2 reduction, savings, and improved availability of parts.  
With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we have established ourselves as the world's largest repair partner for minor and significant wind industry components. As we continue to grow, we seek a collaborative Head of Repair Development to join the leadership team of Global Repair. Repair Development consists of 6 Program Managers and is responsible for developing and driving the global repair strategy, including the global footprint, make-or-buy decisions, and regional programs to improve the business.
 
Responsibilities 

  • Managing, motivating, and developing a team of Repair Program Managers
  • Developing and owning the Global Repair strategy, including the global footprint, make-or-buy decisions, and regional programs to improve the business
  • Collaborating within the Global Repair Operations to ensure seamless delivery of repair services
  • Preparing regular reports on business development activities, cost-saving performances, and market trends
  • Running initiatives to scale/grow the business
  • Developing global and regional supply plans and scenarios, both with our internal repair workshops and vendors
  • Developing a pricing strategy for repaired parts to achieve new business while ensuring financial discipline

 
Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in strategy/business development, engineering, or a related role within the wind repair industry
  • Great understanding of repair processes and techniques within the industry
  • Experience in guiding teams with a clear vision, stimulating motivation, and supporting their advancement
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Solid ability to communicate at all organizational levels; ability to lead clear presentations to audiences with various levels of technical understanding; able to provide technical guidance to employees, customers, external suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented

Additional information
Your work location can be in one of our offices from Aarhus; Videbæk, Denmark, Hamburg or Lübeck, Germany, but other alternative locations can be considered. For this role, you can expect up to 30 days of travel per year.
