The Vestas Data Products department is a newly established department within Digital Solutions. The department's primary objective is to deliver data products to the entire Vestas value-chain. As a Data Product Area Architect, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to join the department in its early phase, where the team is still defining its new department and setting ambitious goals. Data products are designed to facilitate end-goals through the use of data.

 

Responsibilities

As a Data Product Area Architect you will be defining the architecture of our data products in a rapid growing environment centered around data. In this newly established function, you will become part of driving and owning the technology roadmap in the product area Data Products, that serves all business functions in Vestas with data. Together with the Product Owners you will be making sure that our data products are build according to our standards and that we harvest the value of all our data products.

 

Qualifications

Overall, we value a combination of technical expertise, hands-on experience, good communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving data technologies and requirements within Vestas.  

  • 5+ year's experience working with data architecture, data engineering, data consulting or similar.
  • The field of data is continually evolving, so a commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with industry trends is essential. 
  • Proficiency in working with various database technologies, including relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres, DWC), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Understanding of ML & AI technologies (e.g. DataBricks, Snowflake and/or Dataiku).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies, such as SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric is good to have. 
  • You are excited for bringing data to live and an eagerness to translate business requirement into data products.
