Customer Project Execution (CPX) Quality Deployment & Readiness (Formerly Construction Quality) is a department within Vestas Quality, that has the purpose of ensuring the robustness in QMS for achieving quality objectives and targets in construction. Also acts as a point of contact for QMS/QMO organizations for Construction Quality Matters. Ensure preventive QA in Construction using Baseline Package Implementation check, verification of readiness internally and with external subcontractors, and a closed lifecycle loop with the product and module ownership teams. The department consists of Quality Readiness Leads (Onshore, Offshore and Plant & Services) and Quality Deployment Leads with primary engagement in new development projects and supporting regional Quality teams

 

Responsibilities

  • Represent Quality Construction in Lifecycle Quality forums to ensure adherence to the project process execution and assurance of quality deliverables

  • To follow Vestas One Quality's strategic roadmap, ensuring performances are on track and triggering mitigation plans in case of variance from targets during NPI, Tech transfers and running construction projects

  • Ensure preventive QA in Construction using Baseline Package Implementation check, verification of readiness internally and with external subcontractors, and a closed lifecycle loop with the product and module ownership teams.

  • Attend and contribute to cross-project/product alignment meetings.

  • To monitor the performance of Construction projects (manpower, tools, equipment, products, and services), report to Leaders about noncompliance with Quality requirements

  • To liaise with Regional Quality Sales Manager, Regional Manufacturing Manager and Regional Service Manager for Handovers or escalations

  • Escalate to the project manager and SteerCo if quality risks from previous projects are carried over without being addressed in the project scope

  • Secure Construction NC team conducting problem-solving with NCs arising in projects through, i.e., 8D, DMAIC, 5Why, etc., and will implement corrective and preventive action on High importance/ High recurrence cases

  • Will provide feedback to Product and Module Lifecycle forums and representatives with regards to deviations and Lessons Learnt in the region

  • Facilitate unified and aligned Construction Status reports applicable to Global, Staff and Regional activities

  • Transmit a progressive approach towards QA, rather than a reactive one towards QC. Secure necessary actions are triggered and followed up on detected deviations in the project execution area

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree and 5+ years of experience in project quality & Operations field in Wind Construction Onshore or Offshore or Service projects

  • Six Sigma certification / Project Management certification is an added advantage.

  • ISO 9001-certified or knowledgeable

  • Good and effective communication skills (English will be the baseline language)

 

Competencies

  • Must have a sense of urgency for change, improvement, and achieving results.

  • Ideally, more than 5 years of Project Quality working experience

  • Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, solid collaboration and cultural sensitivity skills

  • Experience in coordinating and influencing cross-functional leaders in a large, multinational organization

  • Stakeholder Management and effective communication. Customer Quality engagement & partnership management

  • Knowledge of relevant quality tools and methodologies

  • Process-oriented, and a strategic flair

  • Comfortable working at height
