The Construction Bill of Material Team is part of Documentation Excellence within VTO, R&D, under the Value Chain Services function. As a global organization, the team manages Engineering Change Management and is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing BoMs and Routings for Construction. Our work has significant impact across the entire value chain, supporting seamless collaboration and alignment with key areas such as Sales, Engineering Design, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Service.
Responsibilities
To drive manufacturability across our construction sites and supplier network, you will help define and align standardized ways of working for construction activities. You will also ensure that these standards are accurately reflected and integrated into our product lifecycle systems and material requirements planning processes. Your main responsibility areas will be:
- Establishing Production operations layout in collaboration with Global Construction and Technical Project Managers
- Validate input for Routing creation/update and prepare material for Routing in SAP
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective integration with Global Construction, Product Lifecycle Management, Configuration Management, Development Designers, and other key stakeholders across the product development departments
- Create and maintain Traceability BoM in SAP throughout product lifecycle
- Support daily master data maintenance for materials and BoM in SAP, ensuring high data quality
- Creating and tracking relevant problem reports for engineering changes to design or manufacturing BoM
- Ensure high standards of master data quality of assigned data. Support the documentation of how we work in the team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline; equivalent industry experience may also be considered
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Experience working with wind turbines or within similar industries such as aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing. Onshore and offshore wind industry knowledge is considered a plus
- Experience with Bills of Materials (BoMs) or a solid understanding of BoM structures and their use in product development
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes and tools
- Familiarity with PTC Windchill or other PLM systems is an advantage
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage

- Good understanding of the engineering value chain, including how data, processes, and functions interact across the organization
- Solid IT skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and digital tools
