The Department 

The Construction organization is responsible for installing, commissioning and finally handover wind farms to our customers. Working closely together with the customer and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure this happens safely, cost efficient and with a high-quality standard. 

For this role, you’ll be joining the Cost Management team, for the NCE Region. This team is responsible to develop and maintain construction costing standards for Vestas projects and to deliver high quality project budgets to support sales activities and project execution. 

You’ll be joining a multicultural and diverse team of 6 people, with a positive attitude and approach towards the business.  

Responsibilities: 

• You’ll supervise portfolio budgeting who reports directly to Cost Management Manager 
• You’ll act as a sparring partner for each Bid/Project Manager (f/m/d), Sales/Proposal Manager and general (Senior)Manager for all cost related topics in Sales phase
• You’ll work closely with the Costs Specialist, for all cost bases for the Budget Management of the Region NCE 
• You’ll be focused on developing the budget tool and optimization of the current processes for NCE Region   
• You’ll regularly calculate budgets and elaborate all cost bases for all projects in a Region 
• Define and develop periodically budget workshops with Sales, VPS, Sourcing, Controlling, TSS, R&D and Construction
• Responsible for the Pre- PostCalc deviations in the Region
• Sole owner of cost tracking and cost out initiatives with all relevant Stakeholders (VPS, furthermore Sourcing, Controlling, TSS etc) at regular intervals
• Define, promote and develop periodically trainings within all Senior Managers (f/m/d) and Project Managers (f/m/d) to ensure cost awareness, and using the right budgeting
• Challenge and support new product developments to bring down costs and ensure transparency of the product & value chain costs

Qualifications: 

• Min. bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or business administration
• Understanding of technical requirements, ideally within energy industry 
• Cost awareness and business understanding 
• Some level of experience with IT tools and process optimization  
• Fluent proficiency in English and Regional Language
• Contractual Knowledge
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• System and Process Knowledge

Additional information 

Primary work location: Hamburg - Germany but also open to Aarhus - Denmark

Expected travel: approximately 75 travel days per year
