Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Service Material Procurement

Vestas Global Service Procurement oversees all procurement activities across Vestas, including leading cross-functional category teams, managing negotiations and contracts, developing end-to-end cost-reduction initiatives, crafting category strategies, and maintaining supplier relationships. You will join a Global Repair team comprising colleagues from Denmark, China, Portugal, Poland, Australia, and India.

 

Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

  • Develop and support the global commodity strategy and manage negotiations to establish the most efficient procurement setup for Minor Components repair
  • Oversee procurement activities within the cross-functional sub-module team, ensuring alignment with stakeholders on initiatives such as new repair loop implementation, costing, and supplier risk and performance management
  • Coordinate supplier selection, qualification, negotiations, and contracting, while building strong supplier relationships through account plans and performance management
  • Ensure supplier consolidation to optimize the supply chain by focusing on total landed cost, strategy development, and roadmap implementation in collaboration with commodity team members, acting as the procurement lead on cross-functional projects and cost-out initiatives
  • Deliver procurement outcomes for new repair loop introductions, including the management of contracts such as NDAs, Purchase Agreements, and Price Agreements
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commodity governance and KPIs, regularly contributing to performance improvements to meet organizational targets

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills and significant experience in stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required, with experience in SAP and SAP ARIBA
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, as it is the corporate language

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. Travel to suppliers and key stakeholders expected to be approximately 30 days per year.
