We are looking for a Commodity lead to join our Global Service Procurement team.

 

Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Service Solutions Procurement

You will become part of a creative global procurement team covering the cranes commodity, for the Vestas Service Business globally. We pride ourselves on treating each other with respect and supporting each other to stay focused, committed, and motivated at all times. You will be reporting to the Head of Cranes & Maintenance, and become part of a global team of 5 team members.

 

Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

  • Develop and implement strategy and roadmap for the Cranes commodity
  • Drive and lead cross-functional projects within Cranes
  • Global lead on annual negotiations, optimizing the supply base and our supply chain.
  • Build a close relationship with key suppliers in the commodity, focusing on long-term value delivery through supplier account management and partnerships
  • Take full responsibility to drive and coordinate Crane E2E optimization projects
  • Work closely with the matrix regional organization on strategy execution

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with strategic procurement
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
  • Experience with handling large yearly procurement budgets
  • Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience in the wind industry is advantageous
  • Fluency in English

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. Travel to suppliers and key stakeholders expected to be approximately 30 days per year mainly within Europe.
