Vestas Technology & Operations > Quality > Regional CPX Quality NCE
Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
CPX Quality is responsible for standardizing existing quality activities and deploying new quality controls across regions to ensure a robust Quality Management System (QMS). The team supports the achievement of quality objectives and targets within Customer Project Execution (CPX), with a strong focus on construction quality.
The CPX Quality Deployment, Readiness & Non-Conformity team operates within Vestas Quality and plays a key role in ensuring QMS robustness throughout construction projects. The team acts as the primary point of contact for QMS and Quality Management Office stakeholders on all construction quality–related matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring preventive quality assurance in construction through baseline package implementation checks
- Verifying project readiness, both internally and with external subcontractors
- Maintaining a closed-loop quality lifecycle in collaboration with product and module owner teams
- Supporting the management of supplementary non-conformities (NCs) raised from CPX towards manufacturing factories
Through these activities, the team enables consistent quality execution, risk prevention, and continuous improvement across CPX construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive a proactive Quality Assurance (QA) mindset within Customer Project Execution (CPX), shifting focus from reactive Quality Control (QC) to early risk prevention
- Ensure quality deviations in project execution are identified, escalated, and followed up, securing timely implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions. Validate the identification and assessment of failure modes, their effects, root causes, and the robustness of detection and prevention controls
- Verify and challenge the PFMEA framework, including scope definition, process boundaries, process flow linkage, and cross-functional team composition. Conduct onsite validations of PFMEA and work instructions, ensuring a closed-loop approach to managing quality risks and issues
- Proactively challenge high-risk items, ensuring actions are preventive, measurable, time-bound, and effectively mitigate quality risks. Ensure systematic capture and deployment of lessons learned across comparable projects and construction processes to drive continuous improvement
- Review and validate work instructions from a site and operator perspective, ensuring clarity, usability, and compliance with QMS requirements
- Identify quality gaps through maturity assessments and coordinate mitigation actions with R&D, Product, and other relevant stakeholders
- Prepare and issue formal validation reports, including Go/No-Go decisions and defined conditional approval actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project quality & operations within wind construction (onshore/offshore) or service projects
- Good knowledge of PPAP documentation, including process maps, PFMEA, work instructions, control plans, and inspection forms
- Experience with or good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Six Sigma and/or Project Management certification is beneficial
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
