Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
Within Blades R&D we develop wind turbine blades for Vestas’s products and the associated tools for transporting and installing the blades.
Responsibilities
- Report to the VP, Solution Owner – Blades and serve as the Product Manager (SAFe role) for a major blade platform, leading a Blade Agile Release Train (ART)
- Define and own the vision and roadmap for the ART, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and long‑term product strategy
- Manage and prioritize the ART backlog, balancing scope, timelines, and value delivery. Ensure commitments are met by working closely with customers, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams
- Drive end‑to‑end product ownership, covering new technology development, performance enhancements, cost‑out initiatives, and quality improvements across the platform lifecycle
- Lead without direct authority, guiding and influencing a Release Train of approximately 50–100 engineers to achieve strategic objectives and deliver high‑value increments
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize customer value, ensure transparency, and continuously improve ART performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in blade design, blade manufacturing, new product introduction (NPI), or experience from the automotive industry
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with SAFe and Systems Engineering is beneficial
- Technical understanding of blade engineering, materials, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to guide industrialization and product maturity
- Demonstrated leadership experience, either through project leadership or people management within an industrial or engineering environment
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across diverse teams and organizational levels
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

- Ability to connect technical decisions with commercial outcomes and contribute to strategic, value‑driven product development
- Proven capability to lead cross‑functional teams, influence without authority, and drive complex initiatives to completion
- Skilled in planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivering high‑quality results in a structured and timely manner
- Able to convey complex concepts clearly, engage diverse stakeholders, and facilitate effective decision‑making
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions, cultures, and organizational levels to build strong partnerships and achieve shared goals
