Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VTO, you'll find our department, Blades R&D Life-Cycle Quality as part of Quality Organization.
The Vestas Quality organization engages closely with various teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to our partners and customers. Through this partnership, a commitment to quality is upheld during every stage, reflecting Vestas' adherence to distinction.
Within the Quality organization, the R&D Life-Cycle Quality department provides an end-to-end (E2E) perspective on the quality of products and modules, operating within the Quality matrix. This department is committed to maintaining a holistic view of quality performance throughout the entire product life cycle.

A key focus of the Blade R&D Life-Cycle Quality team is partnering with the Vestas Blade Research and Development module. This team works collaboratively to evaluate quality performance from an E2E perspective, ensuring a thorough approach to quality management. They are responsible for identifying areas for continuous improvement by using data-driven insights, efficient processes, and advanced tools.

The team also emphasizes quality deviation prevention. By working closely with quality metrics and line functions, they aim to minimize deviations, establish corrective actions, and implement preventive measures within a closed-loop quality system. This structured approach not only addresses immediate quality issues but also builds long-term resilience, aiding to prevent quality deviations from recurring and enhancing Vestas’ commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
As a Blades R&D Life-Cycle Quality Specialist, your key responsibilities include

  •  Oversee and coordinate reporting throughout the product life cycle to ensure quality performance insights are captured effectively
  • Act as a project Lead for initiatives focused on quality-focused process and tool improvements, with potential to serve as Project Manager for smaller projects outside the Quality Management Project Management Office
  • Lead or facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions to identify and address systemic quality concerns
  • Provide expert support during audits, ensuring quality standards are met and supporting audit processes as needed
  • Contribute to the harmonization of quality tools and reporting practices to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Identify, initiate, and work on continuous and preventive actions within the quality matrix and line functions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Represent the Quality organization in critical, customer-impacting cases as needed to address urgent quality concerns and uphold customer satisfaction


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality, with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in operational roles or product development, with a focus on quality
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5 quality standards
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification (DFSS, DMAIC, or Lean methodologies)
  • Prince2 Foundation or equivalent project management certification (beneficial)

Our preferred work location for this role is our office in Aarhus or Lem (in Denmark), Isle of Wight (in UK) or Colorado (in US).
Up to 30 travel days per year.
