Manufacturing Test is responsible for development of production test systems for Vestas. The team develops test systems for our factories, covering test of all major parts of the turbine such as electrical switchboards, converters, generators, and fully assembled nacelles etc.  
For this position we look for a skilled engineer with knowledge of Industrial automation and PLC programming.
The department places high focus on an informal working environment and teamwork. We consistently score high on team collaboration in our employee surveys.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop test methods, and user interfaces and creation of automation test programs for our automated test solutions 
  • Install and commission test systems at our factories worldwide
  • Ensure that your designed test systems execute safely by complying to internal and external standard
  • Develop and improve our test methods and design standards for production testing
  • Assist the factories in performing complex trouble shooting on test systems and turbines under test
  • Provide on-site education of the end users of our equipment and ensure that the equipment is handed over to the costumer according to our processes
  • Ensure documentation and quality assurance of the test equipment

 

Qualifications

  • You have an educational background as Electrical Engineer, Marine Engineer or Automation Engineer, also  with experience as Electrician or similar
  • You can be newly graduated or with a few years of experience 
  • You have experience in hands-on as well as theoretical work with electrical systems
  • You are familiar with trouble shooting on electrical systems
  • You read and understand electrical schematics as well as electrical documentation
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and HMI systems is welcomed 
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems will be valued
