Are you experienced in shaping strategic AI use cases and bridging business needs with technical solutions? Do you want to combine supporting the delivery of complex AI initiatives with business partnering, within the renewable energy field? Then this could be your opportunity to hold a key position as our new AI Strategy & Portfolio Advisor.

Digital Solutions & Development > Digital Solutions > Autonomous Flows Advisors

The Autonomous Flows Advisors team sits within Vestas' Digital Development Platform and leads the end-to-end AI and automation transformation across the business. We act as internal advisors and enablers, partnering with product teams and business areas across the value chain (R&D, commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, services and business services) to define AI strategy, scope priority solutions, and ensure responsible, scalable AI adoption. We work closely with cyber, legal, and data governance, and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

As an AI Strategy & Portfolio Advisor, you will help business and product stakeholders identify, evaluate, and embed AI use cases into their roadmaps, as well as identify synergies across use cases that allow us to reinvent core business models and customer offerings. You'll combine strategic thinking with practical analytical work by assessing feasibility, defining value metrics, and ensuring initiatives are grounded in data reality before resources are committed. This is not a research or purely strategic role. You will be expected to dig into the details, question assumptions, and deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

You will play an instrumental role in our efforts to enable the Vestas AI transformation. You will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with product owners and business stakeholders to identify, scope, and prioritize AI use cases with clear business value, and integrate them into product roadmaps
  • Identifying cross-domain patterns, driving standardization, and developing scalable, reusable AI products
  • Assessing data readiness, technical feasibility, and implementation complexity for proposed AI initiatives
  • Defining success metrics and expected business outcomes for each AI initiative in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Translating complex AI concepts into clear, actionable language for both technical and non-technical audiences while supporting AI literacy initiatives across teams
  • Supporting end-to-end automation journeys across organizations, including structured build-vs-buy decisions and AI vendor assessments
  • Contributing to AI governance by defining guidelines, guardrails, and responsible AI practices

Qualifications

We imagine that you have the experience below:

  • A master's degree in IT, business, communication, or similar, combining solid technical understanding with excellent communication skills
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Practical understanding of automation and AI use cases, limitations, and pitfalls
  • Solid experience with data quality and AI readiness analysis
  • Experience with business analysis, product discovery, or AI portfolio management
  • Some knowledge in defining AI governance and automation strategy

Competencies

To do well in this role, we believe that you are/have:

  • A highly motivated, engaged, and organized person, who can work both on your own and collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Business oriented with a value-focused mindset
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to easily translate complex technical concepts into simple and engaging messages
  • Ability to work across complex organizations and manage conflicting stakeholder interests
  • Pragmatic and structured approach to problem solving, with a focus on value creation
  • You seek to constantly acquire new knowledge, stay up to date within AI, and keep learning
  • Fluent spoken and written English is a prerequisite
