Manufacturing and Global Procurement (1002) > COO NCE > Assembly Szczecin
Regional Manufacturing NCE includes manufacturing of Blades, Nacelles and Generators, as main components. There are currently 2251 employees working within our region, counting 20 different nationalities. We currently operate at 5 internal sites across UK, Denmark, and Germany. A new site is planned for operation in Szczecin, Poland.

As a LEAN/Kaizen Specialist you will play an important role both strategic and operational at our Assembly factory Szczecin. As an integrated part of the Management team you will structure the strategic initiatives across the factory and will also be operational responsible for implementing those activities, with the aim of improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes through training and execution. 

 

Responsibilities
As a part of the local management team, this person will:

  • Support the factory’s strategic plan and performance follow up and you will be a part of management team and work on a daily basis together to achieve the same business goals
  • Identify and initiate LEAN improvement projects and initiatives
  • Secure continuous improvement and motivation of the organization in changes, and drive factory education on LEAN and kaizen. Develop and supervise kaizen activities, and coordinate internal as well as external resources in lean projects
  • Mentor for certification & conducts Kaizen Belt training and post training coaching for certification
  • Act as a PEX coach to the Team leaders on the floor and conduct employee training to instill PEX practices on the floor
  • Carry out PEX engagement initiatives and drive PEX communication (Newsletters, PEX day etc.)
  • Act as a role model and coach regarding the use of PEX tools, methodology and application in the process and support PEX-related meetings, briefings, and conferences

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain or relevant field
  • Experience creating production schedules and project budgets
  • Experience coordinating lean projects, supporting LEAN education and continuous improvement
  • Good communication skills and able to relay information to diverse groups of people
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Polish is welcomed

  • Proven performance improvement through PEX Kaizen work
  • Experience in facilitating and driving Kaizen and PEX workshops
  • Action oriented and forward thinking always with safety in mind
  • Creative problem-solving approach and able to work with limited support or direction
  • Clear communication style with attention to detail for clear documentation
  • Able to thrive in situations with complexity and diverse action items
