Vestas Factory

Responsible for directing and leading business development within Vestas Americas including marketing and sales in the assigned region and market segments, and generation of customer solutions that lead to sales. Responsible for managing development assets in the North American region.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop productive business partnerships with other corporations to increase revenues and broaden business scope for Vestas Americas
  • Coordinate the comprehensive business development strategy, from initiating contact and developing proposals to negotiating agreements and ensuring ongoing follow-through
  • Work with customers and investors to determine the best solution for their needs, develop and deliver effective presentation of solution
  • Establish customer relationships that are long-term with a focus on repeat business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to negotiate contracts and effectively close sales transactions.
  • Participate in sales forecasting, planning, researching, and goal setting for the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Convey sales targets to the team, develop strategies and operational procedures to achieve sales benchmarks, and provide updates on progress for designated regions.
  • Conduct marketing activities such as attending trade shows, conferences and seminars, and keeping up to date on industry trends and developments that affect target markets.
  • Gathers information on potential customers and communicates information to relevant staff in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business/Commerce, Post Grad degree an asset
  • 10+ years in identifying, securing and selling products
  • Excellent sales experience, demonstrated negotiation and closing skills in sales transactions
  • Consistently builds relationships with top decision-makers to enhance profitability and reputation of company and satisfaction of customers
  • Ability to develop a customer segment and market region
  • Working knowledge of marketing, planning and the electrical generation business
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
  • Well-developed customer relations and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility with travel-based on the overall company goals
  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits honesty and integrity

 

 

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms.
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility with daily tasks and changing priorities.
  • Possesses the ability to sustain effective work outputs in shifting operational climates
