Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO NCE> Blades
The Regional PE & TS NCE is a sub-department within Regional Manufacturing, Northern and Central Europe (NCE). The departments main focus areas are blades, generators, nacelle and hub, where the position here is in the blades team. The PE & TS team operates as the interface in the space between new product introduction (NPI) and the serial production sites. This is by participating in NPI projects as subject matter expert taking part in the development of the production. When a new product has reached a certain state of maturity it's handed over to the PE & TS team for further development and maturing before it's finally handed over to serial production. During serial production the team will also support on the technical side when larger issues arise for instance. Part of the teams’ responsibilities are also tech transfer to other factories all over the world, optimizing production via new technology and optimizations.
The department is primarily focusing on activities in NCE but is interfacing in a global environment having production facilities across the globe, where support can be needed.

 

Responsibilities
Your tasks will vary in complexity and nature but will be focused around the below items:
• Subject matter expert in NPI projects delivering tasks and activities at the agreed time, including participation in Prototype activities
• Development of production setup and documentation including process, materials, and work instructions
• Engage in PFMEA activities
• Specify special tooling and equipment needed for production of the product
• Technology transfer to other sites
• Support the serial production regarding nonconformities, technical questions, and maturing the manufacturing process

 

Qualifications
• An engineering degree within composite or production or other relevant area combined with 3 years experience within either composite production or other relevant areas
• Skilled technical understanding
• Experience within other large corporate organizations
• Danish language skills are welcomed but are not required. Vestas is a multi-cultural and global company and international applicants are very welcome
• Have good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Additional Information

Primary Location: This location is flexible - but will require frequent travel to factory sites in Northern/Central Europe.
