The Power Plant Controller Applications team is responsible for the design and implementation of control solutions, software architecture and technologies for the Vestas Power Plant Controller - A controller which is responsible to regulate certain parameters on the plant, with respect to the production of power. The development activities in the department include the development of power system engineering and controls software; embedded and real-time software; software release management and product support to colleagues in all regional Vestas' business units.

 

Responsibilities

The software engineer's main responsibilities would be to design, implement and test core functionalities for Vestas Power Plant Controller solution and to handle technical requests for plant control from Vestas regional business units and projects.

 

Qualifications

A master's degree in electrical engineering or SW Engineering or another engineering discipline that gives equivalent background knowledge and 3+ years of professional experience

 

Competencies

Working in the PPC Applications group naturally requires a solid technical understanding of C/C++ in an industrial setup. However, knowledge of another higher-level Object-Oriented Programming language like C# is also beneficial. Although not essential, perhaps you also have some experience in Matlab or Automation and control.
