MED Regional Procurement Organization (RPO) is responsible for managing MED (South Europe, Middle East and Africa) Vestas' spend with external suppliers. With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall goals across all Vestas regions.

You will report to the Head of MED Service & Indirect Procurement, the full team is working cross-functionally and is responsible for managing all Procurement activities related to Service and Indirect business.

 

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Business Service (BS) Purchaser.

Your responsibilities will cover:

  • Develop and implement a BS procurement strategy in MED region in alignment with Indirect strategy
  • Drive Business Services projects across MED region
  • Build local supply market intelligence
  • Secure that cost reduction targets are achieved through cost out projects
  • Participate in Global Category Management Team(s) working cross-functionally
  • Lead Supplier relationship and performance management
  • Perform continuous stakeholder management

Important: Market intelligence within Business Services Area, more in particular regarding Real State and Facility Management, consultancy, fleet, engineering and people and culture related services

 

Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic procurement professional.

  • Bachelor/diploma or Master's degree in the field of (or related to) Supply Chain Management (either Business or Engineering) is required
  • Experience of at least 4-5 years in Procurement
  • "Total cost of ownership mindset"" and effective negotiation skills
  • Highly proficient in English and Spanish is required, written and verbally. Other languages will be highly valuated (Portuguese, Italian, French, Arabic...)

  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Having a 'can do' approach and positive attitude towards the situations you will face
  • Structured person with analytical and negotiation skills
  • Understanding about Supplier Relationship Management
  • Cross cultural skills (will work as part of an international team)
  • Team working competences within a Matrix organization
  • Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive situation
  • Advanced communication skills
