Purpose and reason for the existence of the job

Vestas Offshore Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines in multiple windfarms in the Northsea within the Netherlands. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks and make decisions as requested by the Supervisor or Service Manager and escalate any (potential) issues as needed timely to the supervisor or service manager, such as:

       Tracking the activities as identified in the short and long-term planning and escalate any potential delays in the planning timely to the service manager.

  • Accurate and credible reporting and administration within the set guidelines and timelines.
  • Work schedules and ensuring employees work within the working hours regulations.
  • Provide correct and the latest work instructions.
  • Highlight risks and stop any unsafe working situation, in line with the safety guidelines.
  • Availability of materials required for the tasks.

 

Qualifications  

  • Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university
  • Professional technical experience (offshore experience is an added advantage)
  • High voltage knowledge or switching experience is a advantage
  • Fluent English skills
  • Good knowledge of MS office
  • Driving license category B

 

Competencies 

  • Good management skills (team is between 8- 10 tech)
  • Able to make decisions and to go forward step by step
  • Good out-of-the box thinker, thinking in solutions
  • Good admin skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • High level of safety awareness
