Purpose and reason for the existence of the job

Do you have hands-on mechanical, hydraulic or electrical experience and would like to work on service of wind turbines? Join Vestas as a Service Technician (f/m/d) and work with innovative technologies around 100 meters and more above the ground. Become a part of Vestas Department Special Task.

This Vestas Onshore Service department is mainly responsible for repair of gearboxes and generators uptower on wind turbines in multiple windfarms in the Netherlands and Belgium. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Responsibilities:

• Working at heights to perform reparation of generator or gearboxes
• Developing a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines
• Installation and usage of our Condition Monitoring equipment
• Responsible for electrical and mechanical operations
• Usage of our remote control systems
• Creating follow up orders and inspection reports
• You will work with high voltage
• Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met, you will be part of a team of Technicians (f/m/d) working throughout the region
• Other responsibilities will be to carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications

Qualifications

• Experience or degree within electricity or mechanics. You are also eager to develop your skills within these areas
• Hydraulic experience is a big plus
• Professional experience in this area
• Basic knowledge of MS Office
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and English
• Driver's license class B, in our desire BE
